Royal Brackla single malt, distilled in March 2009 and filled into a single refill barrel. There it remained for a dozen years, until the folks at Douglas Laing opened up the cask, releasing a total of 243 bottles for its Old Particular series in February 2022.
Nose: Ginger tea, fresh peach, and candied nuts with vanilla cream and caramel.
Palate: Orange blossom and sweet baking spice follow milk chocolate and lashings of creamy vanilla.
Finish: Floral malt brings a herbaceous finish, with fresh apple, clove, and pepper.
