Beskrivelse
12 year old single malt from the marvellous Macduff Distillery, independently bottled up by Douglas Laing for the Old Particular range. This expression was aged in a refill hogshead for a dozen years, from June 2009 to September 2021, before being bottled at 48.4% ABV with an outturn of only 327 bottles – each one featuring the rather optimistic phrase “Cheers to better days” on the label.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Barley sugar sweeties, grist, buttered toast, dried apple chips.
Palate: Wave after wave of vanilla, with a dusting of nutmeg and drying barley.
Finish: A lingering sweetness of pear on the finish.
